Louis Roederer’s Collection 244 is the evolution of a house style that dates back to 1776, now guided by the visionary cellar master Jean Baptiste Lécaillon. Roederer has always farmed much of its own vineyards, an uncommon practice in Champagne, allowing precise control over fruit quality and expression. The Collection series replaces the old non vintage Brut Premier concept, with each release built around a specific harvest and enriched by a perpetual reserve that adds depth and continuity. The 244 edition centres on the beautifully balanced 2019 vintage, supported by reserve wines aged in large oak foudres that bring subtle texture and complexity.

Pale gold with a fine, energetic bead, the wine greets you with inviting aromas of orchard apple, lemon zest and white peach layered with toasted almond, brioche and a faint chalky lift. There is a lovely brightness that feels both refreshing and quietly serious. On the palate it flows with precision and generosity, citrus and stone fruit wrapped in creamy mousse before tightening into a savoury mineral line.
