Elvio Cogno is one of Barolo's most distinguished family estates, with Nadia Cogno and Valter Fissore continuing the legacy established by Elvio Cogno in the hills of Novello. Widely admired for their organic viticulture and traditional approach, the family produce Barolos that rank among the purest and most ageworthy expressions of the Langhe.

Ravera is one of Barolo's greatest crus, celebrated for its limestone rich marl soils, elevated position and remarkable ability to produce Nebbiolo of perfume, structure and longevity. Organically farmed and carefully vinified, this vineyard consistently delivers wines of precision, mineral tension and extraordinary ageing potential.

The colour is a brilliant garnet red with youthful ruby highlights. Aromas of rose petals, red cherry and wild strawberry mingle with orange peel, liquorice and sweet spice. The palate is beautifully focused, layering vibrant red fruits over finely woven tannins and bright acidity. Notes of tar, dried herbs and crushed stone emerge with air, leading to a long, savoury finish that reflects the pedigree of this celebrated cru.

A magnificent match for white truffle risotto, braised beef cheeks, roast pigeon or porcini mushroom pappardelle. While captivating today with a generous decant, this is a Barolo built to evolve gracefully through the 2040s and beyond.
