A blend of Pinot Noir (65%) and Chardonnay that has spent at least 24 months in bottle before being disgorged. The Pinot Noir component gives the wine richness and body while the Chardonnay contributes toastiness and a racy acidity. Attractive and quite elegant Methode with freshness and energy.
A blend of pinot noir (67%) and chardonnay (33%). Open this wine with great caution. When I last opened a bottle it emptied half its contents into my computer which died a sudden death. This time I was ready with a bucket and pointed the bottle well away from my (new) computer, but still managed to froth a large glassful into my printer, which miraculously survived! The wine has a pale-pink hue and lovely toasty brioche yeast autolysis flavours together with just a hint of strawberry. The texture is ethereal and the balance perfect, with a gently drying finish.
