You can’t go wrong with this blend from this producer. It hums with juicy fruit, all tropical and citrusy, plus loads of fresh herbs, too. Expect lime zest, passionfruit pith, basil with honeydew melon, starfruit and plenty of refreshing acidity. Drink 2024-2027.

The nose is fresh and vibrant, with aromas of green apples, limes and cut grass. The palate is medium-bodied with vibrant acidity, giving notes of grapefruit, lemon peel, honeydew melon and flint. Very well balanced and fresh. Made from 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon. Drink now.

91 points James Suckling, October 2024

This is pretty much a field blend, so it is what it is. It’s about a 60% sauvignon blanc dominant blend in this year. All the semillon into older oak and it has a nice textural feel with a mealy fruit character with a sprightly lift of sauvignon blanc. A nice easy drinking style that is flavoursome and neatly crafted with rich fruit characters. Drink 2024-2027.

Voyager Estate was established in 1978 on the gravelly soils of Stevens Valley in southern Margaret River, one of the coolest and most maritime-influenced parts of the region. The estate has been farming organically since 2017 and received full certification in 2023. All fruit is estate grown across five vineyards on granite and ironstone soils.

Their version of Margaret River’s signature white blend leans deliberately toward the Semillon side of the equation at 40%. The Semillon is fermented in old French oak to build structure and mouthfeel, while the Sauvignon Blanc goes into stainless steel to preserve its freshness and aromatic lift.

2024 vintage was warmer than the 2023. Early bud burst and extended warm dry conditions led to harvest starting a week earlier. This shows in the fruit character, which in 2024 shows white nectarine, lemon pith, rosemary and flint on the nose. Those ripe stone fruit and herb notes continue on to the palate in a harmonius manner.

This wine style is always a highly versatile wine with food, and preparation depending. Try the 2024 with grilled seafood mains or maybe chicken with light herb flavours.

Drink young.
