Now fully mature, the colour has moved into a deep garnet with brick tones at the rim. The aromatics are beautifully evolved, moving well beyond primary fruit into a complex tapestry of dried blackcurrant, plum and fig, layered with cedar, tobacco leaf and old leather. There are notes of earthy spice, bay leaf and a gentle savoury edge, with a hint of dusty cocoa and antique wood adding to the intrigue.

The palate is soft, resolved and deeply savoury. Tannins have melted into a fine, velvety frame, carrying flavours of dried fruit, cigar box and spice.
