The Maurice O’Shea Shiraz is the flagship red wine for Mount Pleasant and is a blend of the best fruit available, only made in the greatest years. Taken from the Old Hill, Old Paddock, Rosehill 1946 and 1965 Vines, it is truly a complex and unique wine, exhibiting an almost euphoric sense.
Medium red-purple; the moderately intense and fragrant bouquet ranges through dark cherry, licorice and savoury/earthy regional aromas, augmented by attractive oak; the palate is unexpectedly powerful and quite tannic; for the very long haul.
