'I was completely blown away by the 2001 Barbaresco Riserva Pajè. It displays intense, deeply expressive balsamic nuances of menthol and spices that draw in the taster. Massively proportioned, it reveals a tight core of sweet dark fruit and layers of minerals, licorice and roasted coffee beans with notable length and an authoritative, powerful personality.
