100 % of the fruit for this wine (Cabernet Sauvignon 87 % , Malbec 13 % ) was sourced from the Frankland River wine growing region in the Great Southern, Western Australia . The Frankland River area is characterised by cool winters, warm summer days and cool summer nights . The soils are some of the oldest degraded granite gravels in the world
The wine is vibrant red/purple with a garnet hue . Bright aromas of mulberry, black cherry and cassis combine with cedar, spice, dark chocolate and hints of vanillin derived from the high quality oak maturation.
The full flavoured palate displays complex bramble fruit, dark chocolate and ground coffee flavours . A firm but fine tannin structure supports a wine of great length and density . All at once rich, complex and perfectly balanced ensuring a long future with years ahead of it . Cellar for up to 10 years .
