Produced in years of excellent quality and aged longer in wood than Vintage Port. Bottled four years after the harvest, it is deep red in colour, they are full-bodied, smooth and with a fruity bouquet. It is bottled unfiltered so decanting is recommended as during the course of the years the wine will throw a small amount of sediment. The 2013 Quinta Do Portal Portal LBV Port is a concentrated ruby in colour, with aromas of ripe red fruits and wild berries, and a touch of cedar. In the mouth is silky but with personality, with a fresh acidity. The palate is long and complex, and shows the potential for aging well in bottle.
Quinta do Portal is a unique, family, fine winemaking company based in the Douro valley of Northern Portugal, the first wine region to be demarcated in 1756. It’s a boutique winery devoted to the production of the best wines this wonderful region can offer. Our family has been producing Ports for more than 100 years at “Quinta dos Muros” and has been in the region since the XV century and played a very important role in the Demarcation of the region.
