From 52yo cabernet vines (87%), malbec (6%), franc (6%) and petit verdot (3%); 5 days cold soak, fermentation/maceration 10-31 days, matured for 18 months in French barriques (50% new). The colour is still primary crimson-purple, the bouquet and flavours of cassis/blackcurrant interwoven with notes of bramble, cedar, bay leaf and perfectly weighted tannins.
