Deep red/brick colour, with a faint tinge of purple. It smells of overripe, porty and almost 'dead fruit'; fumey and a little tired, with lashings of oak, a lick of mint and again a hint of portiness and caramellisation on palate. Its texture is broad and grainy and lacking finesse. It's a super-ripe, over-the-top, sweet fruit and alcohol style. A blast from the Barossa's Parkerised recent past. Hedonistic is the word. 17 NOV 2014
