The nose is of blackberries, raspberry, sour black cherries with notes of chocolate and just a hint of truffle. In the mouth there are lovely cedary tannins with beautiful fruit which speaks of bright raspberries slightly caramelised apple and chocolate. It has a lovely mid-palate and a long savoury finish which seems to go on forever.
Deep-ish, bright red colour with a purple tinge; the bouquet smoky and charry, with some oaky notes and good ripeness. It still has some bright cherry varietal fruit aromas. The palate is intense and focused, medium to full-bodied and smooth, with fine, ripe tannins, good length and great elegance. A very stylish sangiovese in a savoury style. (100% sangiovese.
