Note: from a huge 3 ha parcel of vines planted in 1903
A pungently earthy and notably ripe nose offers up notes of plum, violet and essence of black raspberry. There is plenty of Gevrey character on the very concentrated and imposingly scaled broad-shouldered flavors where the abundant dry extract really coats the palate on the suave yet powerful finish that displays a touch of rusticity but less than one might expect. This is a terrific Gevrey villages and one to buy if you can find it.
