DW Q24, Tasmania) This has developed superbly in the intervening 3.5 years since I first saw it, into an outstanding wine. It sure needed some age! The perfume is superb: fine, aromatic and lifted, almost Germanic, and the palate is refined and intense and the acidity is balanced by a beautifully judged touch of sweetness. DWQ 24. Pale straw-green; the pure blossom-filled bouquet leads into a linear palate that accelerates dramatically from its opening stanza through to its almost painfully intense citrus and mineral acidity finish, suggesting a very low pH and an infinitely long future. Published 26 July 2014
