From a single estate block planted '74 on 34-56 million-year-old origin of grey-brown loam over limestone; matured for 20 months in French hogsheads (20% new). Dense, inky colour; unalloyed full-bodied shiraz, laden with black fruits, licorice and ripe, savoury tannins. Despite its size and weight, it has agility, and leaves the mouth content.
