Vinification and maceration take 55 days after which the wine is placed in new Slovenian casks where malolactic fermentation takes place. After aging for 18 months the wine is bottled and then aged for further 12 minimum 12 months before sale.
The wine is beautiful mid ruby. Savoury yet perfumed and really holding back on the nose and a little iodine too. Mouth-filling yet poised with huge, minerally impact. Wonderful balance and with a proper tannic grip on the finish. Drink 2020-2029.
