95 pts - Bob Campbell
Medium to deep ruby-purple coloured, the 2013 Pinot Noir has a beautiful nose of warm red cherries, red currants and kirsch with nuances of anise, cedar, lavender, rose hips and ceylon tea. Medium-bodied and generously fruited in the mouth, it fills the palate with vibrant red berry and perfumed / spicy layers, structured by firm, fine tannins, finishing long and layered; it will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar and continue to develop over the next 10+ years. Reconfirming Martinborough as number one pinot producing region in NZ.
