Includes 3% viognier, 11% whole bunches, 10-19 days on skins, matured in French oak (25% new) for 18 months, not fined, 319 dozen and 105 magnums made. Bright, clear crimson-purple, doubtless assisted by the co-fermentation of 3% viognier. Over 30 years ago, Yeringberg pulled out its original shiraz because no-one wanted to buy it; Vine Pull without any subsidy, but regretted it as much here as in SA. Purity, intensity and length are the keywords for this lovely medium-bodied cool climate shiraz.
