From a wide mix of Brochon vines planted between 1922 and 1961 that average 60+ years of age.
Here the nose is more complex still with a slightly broader range of game, underbrush and humus-suffused aromas of red currant, floral and spice scents that are also trimmed in just enough wood to notice. There is excellent mid-palate concentration to the more robust and muscular flavors that also brim with dry extract that manages to mostly buffer the firm supporting tannins on the austere finale. This classic Gevrey villages will definitely need time. Drink 2024+.
