Glaetzer Wallace takes in the traditional Barossa blend of Shiraz and Grenache on a thoroughly modern way. The Shiraz component gives the wine backbone, flesh and body with the Grenache adding a soft, vibrant juiciness.

The 2014 vintage wines have incredible flavour intensity, depth and personality. 2014 Wallace shows bright red fruits and lifted spice on the nose with palate displaying spicy richness alongside primarily red fruits.
Very drinkable now, Wallace will develop great complexity as it ages over next 3-5 years.

‘78% 60-80yo shiraz from the Ebenezer district and 22% 80-110yo grenache. Definitely a cut above many Barossa Valley blends, and I like the back label description of 'decadent yet reserved, rich yet restrained'. I would simply add no confectionary notes, and wonder at the gift horse price.’
