Marc Brédif is owned and operated by the Baron de Ladoucette. Grown on the lower slopes along the Loire Valley in Vouvray and Vernou-sur-Brenne, the grapes for the Marc Brédif Vouvray enjoy Northern/Southern exposure. The vineyards have soils of mainly chalk clay, with some parcels having flint clay soils. The vineyards are 25-30 years old on average.
This 100% Chenin Blanc is pale gold in colour with aromas of white flowers, pears and citrus fruit on the nose. The palate shows fresh acidity with flavours of grapefruit and a lovely vivacity which adds to a lingering finish. A touch of sweetness caps off a delicate and refreshing wine.
A unique wine that has the ability to age for many decades, developing palate weight and honeyed complexity with age.
