The 2015 vintage produced some of the most captivating wines of the decade, and Château Léoville Poyferré rose to the occasion with a Saint Julien of remarkable depth and polish. Owned by the Cuvelier family, this distinguished Second Growth has built a reputation for combining the grandeur of Pauillac with the elegance and refinement that define the very best of Saint Julien.

The estate's vineyards stretch across deep Günz gravel, where Cabernet Sauvignon is joined by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Warm, even conditions throughout the growing season delivered beautifully ripe fruit, balanced by freshness and precision, creating a wine of exceptional concentration, harmony and impressive cellaring potential.

The colour is a deep garnet with youthful ruby highlights. Aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry and plum are joined by cedar, graphite, violets and fine cigar box notes. The palate is sumptuous yet impeccably balanced, carrying rich dark fruits through velvety tannins and vibrant acidity. Hints of cocoa, crushed stone and subtle spice build towards a long, seamless finish that reflects the stature of this outstanding Saint Julien.
