This a very linear and refined red with currant and lemon aromas and flavors. Medium to full body, fine tannins and a bright finish. Shows focus and beauty. Elegant and long. Drink in 2020.

Once an overlooked name in Saint Estèphe, Château Lilian Ladouys has undergone a remarkable transformation to become one of the Médoc's standout success stories. Under the stewardship of the Lorenzetti family, significant investment in the vineyards and winery has elevated the estate to new heights, producing classically styled Bordeaux that consistently overdelivers for quality and value. Today, Lilian Ladouys is recognised as one of Saint Estèphe's rising stars.

The outstanding 2015 vintage delivered beautifully ripe fruit with superb balance, combining the richness of a warm growing season with the freshness needed for long lived Bordeaux. The estate's gravel, clay and limestone soils provide ideal conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, while meticulous vineyard management and thoughtful oak maturation have created a wine of impressive depth, structure and refinement.

Deep garnet with youthful ruby highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of cassis, black cherry and ripe plum layered with cedar, graphite and cigar box. As the wine opens, notes of violets, tobacco leaf, dark chocolate and subtle spice emerge, adding complexity and unmistakable Saint Estèphe character. The palate is beautifully composed, delivering concentrated black fruits supported by polished tannins, vibrant freshness and a finely etched mineral backbone. Rich yet beautifully balanced, the finish lingers with savoury spice, cedar and refined earthy notes.

A magnificent companion for roast lamb, dry aged rib eye, beef bourguignon, venison or mature hard cheeses. Drinking beautifully with a generous decant, this impressive Saint Estèphe will continue to reward collectors over the next two decades.

Cellaring: Drink now to 2042.
