The 2015 Bourgogne Rouge sees no new oak but Florence Heresztyn reminded me that as usual, it includes some fruit from their village crus. It
offers light cranberry leaf and strawberry scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, slightly darker berry fruit with welljudged
acidity—expressive towards the finish with satisfying freshness. Enjoy this over the next 3-5 years. This is well crafted and attesting to some
prudent winemaking.
