18% aged on lees for 6 months in used French barriques, the remainder on lees in tank. Typical Henschke, coming up with X-factor in virtually all of its wines. This has excellent balance between fruit, acidity and high residual sugar, and texture to go with the flavours. Will stand up to any dessert.

Medium to full yellow colour, youthful for its age, the bouquet seems not strongly botrytis-affected but flowery, honeyed and spicy. The palate is fresh and lively and has a lightness and lack of oiliness that makes it refreshing and easy to drink. Lively and delicious, with a clean finish thanks to some tannins that impart a faint bitterness.10 JUN 2020 Drink 2020–2026
