This wine has a lifted fragrant bouquet of red & dark cherries complimented by spicy, savoury oak. The palate has an abundance of fine tannins wrapped around a core of spicy dark cherry fruit, displaying great texture & length. This is a beautifully balanced Paringa Pinot Noir from an excellent vintage that needs some years to evolve and develop.
Matured for 18 months in French barriques (40% new).
The Prince of Paringa, and off on a voyage of its own, finer and more savoury than any of the '16 Paringa Pinots. Red cherry, wild strawberry and spice form irresistible waves of flavour and texture. Elegance at a stratospheric level.

Cherries and spice, slight rubbery reduction, nutty oak. Light and spicy with bright red fruits, cinnamon oak, silky and fine, pure and long with gentle graphite tannin teasing it out. Stylish and very fine.

Medium-red colour with a slight purple tint. The bouquet is light and 'straight' (not stemmy), with a talcy perfumed aspect. The wine is intense and focused on the mid-palate with a savoury, meaty, charcuterie note. Drying but balanced tannins bring up the rear. Attractive development is having some effect now. A very fine pinot.12 MAY 2018 Drink 2018–2028
