Just our second allocation of this cuvée (and our first since 2008!). It’s a wine that hails from a sunny lieu-dit, east of the village, planted in 1997 with both Chardonnay and Pinot. Dureuil organically farms two hectares here, and while the Pinot is blended into the Rully Rouge, the Chardonnay vines are bottled separately into this outstanding single-vineyard bottling. The note below captures it well enough.
..offers up notes of citrus, wheat toast and hazelnut—from bottle, it's a bit more controlled and vibrant than it seemed in barrel. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with an expansive attack and excellent purity, its texture glossy and satiny.
