This is both impressive and refined. It's not always easy to strike such a balance. A chardonnay that drives long and pure yet it has substance. Complex sulphides and leesy characters, flinty, balanced oak, so detailed and moreish, it demands you come back for another taste. And you do. It's seamless.

Light straw colour, young for its age, with a straw and slightly smoky oak-driven bouquet, the palate soft and fleshy with stone fruit flavours and a lick of honey. A hint of Weetbix. It's very fresh and bright, young and vital, with a clean, dry finish. Good concentration. It should reward a little more cellar-time, but is excellent now.21 JUL 2017 Drink 2018–2027
