The Adelé range has a dedicated focus on Natural and Biodynamic principles, which revolve around the guiding philosophy of minimal intervention in both the vineyard and winery. The wines are all fermented from indigenous yeasts, using skin contact and whole bunches. No sulphur is used and the wines are 100% unfiltered.
They are produced in genuine small batches, with an average production of only 100 dozen per year. Winemaker Ben Ranken has just been named a Young Gun Finalist in the 2019 Young Guns of Wine Awards.About 25% whole bunch, pressed to old oak. Monastrell in the hands of ‘Italian grape specialists’ is kind of a cool thing, right?
Highly perfumed here – cassis, lavender, green herbs, briar, eucalyptus. Slippery texture, layers of choc-mint, dark berries, slurpy-plummy fruit, builds into light, chewy finish. Savoury notes, mint and eucalyptus elements, good, fuller flavours, satisfying savoury time to have here.
