This too is softly oaky with its intensely floral-suffused nose of exceptionally pure and ultra-fresh essence of red berries. The mouthfeel of the equally mineral-driven flavors is quite polished thanks to the fine grain of the moderately dense supporting tannins. This youthfully backward effort will require at least a few years of cellaring as it too is quite tightly wound today.

(there wasn't much frost here but production was still just 27 hectoliters per hectare): Saturated medium red. Aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, smoke and game show moderate lift. Then sweet and fairly deep in the mouth, conveying moderate definition and lift to its flavors of dark berries, black cherry and smoke. A bit tight on the back end, which features a ripe dusting of tannins and very good length.
