The airy and expressive nose is compositionally similar to that of the Damodes if perhaps with few spice elements. By contrast there is a bit more size and weight to the caressing medium weight flavours that possess a beguiling mid-palate texture though the natural rusticity of Porrets comes up on the nicely complex and lingering finish. This is very likely to tighten up considerably once in bottle so patience will be required here too. Drink 2028+.

(the crop was reduced 30% by frost): Bright ruby-red. A touch of reduction to the aromas of black raspberry and menthol. A step up in richness and fullness from the foregoing Nuits-Saint-Georges examples, conveying sexy sweetness to its flavours of dark cherry and dark chocolate complicated by a hint of white fruits. In a sweeter, generous style in the context of the vintage, with the wine's big dusty tannins nicely supported by its relatively full body.
