The 2016 Galli Estate Camelback Heathcote Shiraz displays lovely notes of violets and blackberries with earthy plums, red berries and spices. Subtle French oak is intertwined, as fine tannins give good length and balance to go with the intense dark Shiraz fruit characters.
Full crimson-purple; a medium to full-bodied palate of a kind and quality seldom encountered at $20. It has a wealth of blackberry fruit, spice, chocolate and ripe tannins, its best years still a long way off.
