76% Geelong, 22% Ballarat, 2% Macedon, hand-picked, open-fermented with 30% whole bunches, matured for 10 months in French oak (25% new). A beautifully balanced pinot, which shows the influence of the relatively small Ballarat component. There is a tantalising brushstroke of smoky spice before the complex array of red and black cherries form the base of the fruit flavour, oak and tannins spot on.
