Hand-picked fruit from a 40yo dry-grown vineyard, with 2% each of malbec and cabernet franc. Minty varietal character is the first impression, but there's a wave of ripe red fruit and a touch of chocolate to follow. Medium-bodied and soft, it's gently mouthfilling with the tannin surprisingly not too noticeable, really only asserting itself in the aftertaste. Good drinking now.
