Dense and layered with dried apples and pears as well as candied lemons, grilled lemons and lemon meringue. It's full-bodied, rich, tangy and flavorful. March 2026 release. Tiny production. Smallest ever for Dom Pérignon. A blend of 61% chardonnay and 39% pinot noir. Dosage 4.5 g/L. Drink now.

96 points James Suckling

The 2017 Dom Pérignon is just as stunning as it was last year, if not more so. What a wine! Lemon confit, marzipan, white flowers and chalk soar out of the glass. The 2017 is like a slightly more refined version of the 2002, another year in which the Chardonnays were quite opulent. In 2017, Chardonnay accounts for 61% of the blend, very high for Dom Pérignon. Over the last year, the 2017 has gained mid-palate creaminess and has just come together beautifully. Sadly, production is tiny, so much so that the 2017 is expected to be in the market for just a few months before the maison transitions to the 2018.

98 points Vinous

Few names in the world of wine carry the prestige and mystique of Dom Pérignon. Produced exclusively as a vintage Champagne, every release reflects the character of a single growing season and the relentless pursuit of excellence that has defined the house for centuries. Named after the Benedictine monk often associated with Champagne's early development, Dom Pérignon has become a symbol of luxury, craftsmanship and some of the finest sparkling wine produced anywhere in the world.

The 2017 vintage presented significant challenges in Champagne, with frost, rain and disease pressure testing growers throughout the season. Yet careful vineyard management and rigorous fruit selection allowed the Dom Pérignon team, led by Chef de Cave Vincent Chaperon, to craft a wine of remarkable balance and energy. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from the region's finest Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards, the wine captures both the resilience of the vintage and the signature elegance of the house.

Bright golden straw in colour with a persistent stream of fine bubbles, the bouquet is immediately captivating. Aromas of white peach, nectarine and citrus zest mingle with brioche, toasted hazelnut and delicate floral notes. As the wine opens, layers of fresh almond, pastry, oyster shell and subtle spice emerge, adding complexity and intrigue. The palate is precise yet generous, combining vibrant citrus and stone fruit flavours with a creamy texture and chalky minerality. Remarkable tension and freshness carry the wine through a long, detailed finish that lingers with notes of lemon curd, toasted nuts and saline complexity.

An exceptional partner for lobster with beurre blanc, scallops, caviar, sashimi grade tuna, roast chicken with truffle or a simple platter of freshly shucked oysters. While already captivating in its youth, this vintage will continue to evolve beautifully for two decades or more, developing the toasted, honeyed and savoury complexity that makes mature Dom Pérignon so sought after by collectors.
