This Fromm La Strada Pinot Noir shows bright, intense fruits and subtle savoury undertones. Ripe, spicy cherry and plum nuances on the nose offer instant appeal whilst the palate is broad with seamless balance between fruit, acid and tannins. A wine of restrained generosity and length!
Made using organically grown fruit from five vineyards in the Southern Valleys, the 2017 Pinot Noir (this replaces the La Strada bottling) features black cherries and black raspberries on the nose. It's medium-bodied but a bit chunky and firm, with notes of dried spices and cola and a dry, savory finish.
Give it another year to round into form, then drink it through 2026.
