This wine has been hand crafted using natural fermentation and minimal intervention. No fining was used in the making of this wine.Hand picked, whole bunch pressed, fermented in a mixture of new and used French oak barrels. Postion of the frapes were fermented on skins to add texture and muthfeel. Matured 10 months in 100% French oakm 30% new.Complex but subtle aromas of toast, yeast and flint with hints of white stone fruit. Textural palate with notes of white peach, grapefruit and well integrated oak.
Light to mid-yellow, bright colour. The wine is reserved and restrained on the nose, with some lovely toasted nut nuances. It has a refined mouth-feel and taut structure, the acidity drawing it out on the finish. Very good tension, refinement and persistence. I'd like to drink some of this. The aftertaste leaves the mouth wanting more. 24 OCT 2018 Drink 2018–2027

From a single block on the long-established Willowlake Vineyard in the Upper Yarra Valley. Hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed, a portion fermented on skins, matured for 10 months in French oak (30% new). Mouthfilling and complex, it has a bracing, crisp finish ex natural acidity. A special vintage. Published 01 July 2019
