Medium red colour with a vestige of purple, and an aroma that evokes chocolate, while the palate is medium to full-bodied and rich. It has density and chewy texture. Darker fruits and smoky, toasty oak. There's a lot of density and richness, if not great pinosity. It's almost full-bodied within the pinot paradigm. An excellent wine, which unfolds with time in the glass. It will reward a little cellaring.29 SEP 2019 Drink 2021–2031

Fruit off the H & I blocks gives it a crimson-ruby hue; overall, a stylish and beautifully balanced wine with everything neatly in place. The right amount of cherry fruit, spice, supple yet savoury tannins, and a freshness to the acidity that lasts to the very end. An elegant pinot, yet has a depth of flavour.
