Deep crimson and mahogany in colour with great clarity at the rim. A lovely weighted palate with a ripe core of cassis and plum, tightly knit with fresh cedar and balanced on a spine of fine, powdery tannins.
A carefully assembled blend of grapes from across McLaren Vale vinified and matured separately in French oak (30% new). It was a perfect vintage, giving the blending bench an embarrassment of riches with cassis, bay leaf, black olive, blackberry, tapenade, dark chocolate and more.
