A pure and intense shiraz that has aromas of red plums, cherries and earthy tones. Lot of good, honest, fleshy fruit in the mouth with red plums, cherries and berries all nicely cast. Such good value. Drink over the next seven years. Screw cap.

Very deep, youthful, bright colour which stains the glass. A blackberry jam and licorice bouquet translating to a medium to full-bodied palate, which is generous at this price, and finishes with the tannin grip of a proper dry red wine. There is richness, weight and length, remarkable at the price. It's that rare thing under AUD $25: a red wine with character. And very good value. 08 SEP 2020 Drink 2020–2030

Joseph Osborn was a successful racehorse owner and Footbolt was the pride of his stable. In 1912 he made the hard decision to sell his horses to purchase the d'Arenberg property.
A consistently great McLaren Vale Shiraz. Generously rich with amazing fruit weight and balanced, chewy tannins. Brimming with ripe red fruits and an underlying layer of subtle oak, as well as a hint of pepper. This wine represents great value, and has a long life ahead of it... If you can resist!
