2018 Brothers at War Single Vineyard Syrah, Barossa Valley

Single vineyard Eden Valley syrah, 30% whole bunch, fermented and aged in puncheons. Deep, purple-edged crimson in colour with notes of deep satsuma plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit underscored with fine spice, purple flowers, licorice, earth, roasting meats and kirsch. Voluminous and opulent with granitic tannins plunging down through the pure fruit, things tightening and focusing on the exit, bright acid propelling the wine off into the distance with a rooster-tail of spice and blackfruits. This wine can be enjoyed now or until 2040.
