It’s a metodo ancestrale style sparkling, off the back of the 2017 being methode traditionelle. Shiraz viognier. Quite floral, lots of orange juice and orange peel to sniff on, red cherry too. Pretty. The palate is fleshy and bright, stacked with kirsch and red berry fruitiness but an undertow of stone fruit, creaminess, a sour-sweet finish and some savouriness too. Good, vivid fizz. Complex expression of sparkling.
