Château Dauzac 2019 captures the elegance of Margaux with Fifth Growth pedigree, refined structure and beautifully layered fruit.
This is wonderfully perfumed with blackcurrant and floral aromas that follow through to a medium to full body with super-integrated tannins that go on to the very end. Bright and vivid. One of the best Dauzacs ever. 73% cabernet sauvignon and 27% merlot. Best after 2026.

Classified as a Fifth Growth in the famous 1855 Classification, Château Dauzac has long been one of Margaux's most distinctive estates. Dating back to the 12th century, the château combines deep gravel soils with a progressive approach to viticulture, producing Cabernet Sauvignon led wines that capture the hallmark perfume, elegance and refinement of this celebrated Left Bank appellation.
The superb 2019 vintage delivered fruit of exceptional ripeness, concentration and freshness. Warm, dry conditions produced beautifully expressive Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, while careful vineyard selection and thoughtful élevage created a wine of remarkable harmony, structure and ageing potential.
Deep garnet with youthful crimson highlights, the bouquet reveals aromas of cassis, black cherry and blackberry layered with violets, cedar and graphite. As the wine opens, notes of cigar box, pencil shavings, dark chocolate and subtle spice emerge, adding complexity and unmistakable Margaux character. The palate is beautifully composed, combining concentrated dark fruits with polished tannins, vibrant acidity and a finely woven mineral backbone. Elegant yet quietly powerful, the finish is long, refined and lingers with floral perfume, savoury spice and exceptional persistence.
A magnificent partner for roast rack of lamb, Chateaubriand, duck breast, venison loin or mature Comté. Already immensely enjoyable with a generous decant, this outstanding Margaux will continue to evolve gracefully over the coming decades.
