Medium-deep, glowing red-purple colour, with a bouquet that is quite sulfidic at first, but this dissipates with decanting or aeration. Then, the dark-cherry fruit comes up, together with mixed spices, presenting an alluring bouquet. In the mouth, it's bright and light-bodied, fresh and lively, with tangy acidity and nervy mouth-feel. It comes into its own with food, which takes care of the acidity. A day later: no sulfide. Five days later: still fresh and drinking superbly. (100% destemmed fruit. Aged in large oak. 13.5% alc. Screw-cap)
