Very, deep, darkly-concentrated purple colour. The bouquet and palate similarly concentrated and powerful, with a note of clove overlying dark plum and blackberry fruit, laced with graphite, tar and licorice. A full-bodied pinot, with grip and density, extract and power, the masses of supple, fine tannins carrying the flavour long through the finish. A bold, solid, straightforward wine that begs for more time, and will reward substantial cellaring.
