Whole-bunch pressed, fermented in French barriques (50% new), 10% mlf, matured for 12 months. Rich and complex, with stone fruit dominant, white peach and nectarine showing the way for other contenders to make their presence felt (a touch of unsweetened grapefruit juice). All up, a very good chardonnay riding on the back of the '18 vintage.
There’s a lusciousness and a depth to this, yet acidity is in charge. This means the white stone fruit, honeycomb, nougatine and sweetish oak flavours can be enjoyed without it feeling heavy. It’s complex, savoury and the finish is long.
