From the heart of the Barossa Valley, Teusner MC Sparkling Shiraz is a bold and joyful take on one of Australia’s most distinctive styles. Teusner, founded by Kym Teusner, has built a cult following for wines that celebrate old vine Barossa fruit with energy and drinkability, and this sparkling Shiraz is no exception. Crafted from richly flavoured Shiraz and finished with a touch of sweetness, it delivers both indulgence and freshness in equal measure.

A deep inky crimson with a lively, persistent bead fills the glass. Aromas leap out with blackberry, plum and black cherry layered with dark chocolate, spice, vanilla and a hint of cola. There is an immediate sense of richness and fun.

The palate is full bodied yet vibrant, delivering waves of ripe black fruit framed by fine bubbles and balanced acidity. Notes of mocha, liquorice and sweet spice build through the mid palate, leading to a long, creamy finish that feels both decadent and refreshing. Best enjoyed now while its fruit is bold and exuberant, though it has the structure to hold over the medium term.

Sticky glazed ham carved thick, barbecue ribs dripping with sauce, or dark chocolate desserts that lean into the wine’s richness.
