From a vineyard planted in 1919. and now run biodynamically. Picked on March 4 and matured for 16 months in French barriques. This is a beautiful wine in every way - balance, flavour, purity - and sensibly priced.

These vines were planted below Light Pass in 1919 and the wine is what Barossa Shiraz is all about. It’s super concentrated and deep, but there is a polish and stylishness that makes it so appealing even at this stage. The vineyard is now biodynamically farmed. Dark chocolate, licorice and plum with a sagebrush and light cedar touch. It’s mouth filling and dense yet expresses itself with such refinement.
Drawn from a distinguished vineyard in the hamlet of Light Pass, The Steeple Shiraz is a true single vineyard wine. This wine is from biodynamically grown, low yielding centenarian vines planted in 1919. In the shadow of the Light Pass Immanuel Lutheran Church Steeple, the roots of these old vines run deep into the ancient Barossa soils, yielding intensely flavoured Shiraz grapes to create a wine of richness, texture, concentration and length.
A hedonistic, aromatic beauty. Showing cool blueviolet notes, anise and dark cherry with red spices, plums, cranberries, pomegranates and nuances of mountain herbs and cracked peppercorns. This wine is bold in stature. It is a full bodied Shiraz with generous red, blue and violet fruits mingling with dark cherries, layered textures and a mouth watering, powdery tannin finish.
