Dominated by its imposing fourteenth-century castle Serralunga turns out the most complex and age-worthy Barolos from its 39 crus, a number of which are among the most coveted sites in all of Barolo.
 
The Serralunga’s most prized vineyards are at the highest altitude and boast full southern exposure which together prolong Nebbiolo’s growing season yielding some of the most austere and powerfully structured Barolos that in top vintages can evolve and maintain for decades. Today many Serralunga producer are crafting wines that can be approachable six or seven years after the harvest but can still stand the test of time beautifully.
