Gingin clone, hand picked, whole-bunch pressed, wild ferment in barrel, matured in French oak for 9 months (54% new). The oak sits atop the fruit aromatically, and it brings to mind the sweet, oaty smell of Hob Nob biscuits. In the mouth the wine is creamy, traditionally structured and certainly powerful – the full force of the 2020 vintage on show. This needs some time (either in a decanter, or years in the bottle) to meld all the components together – the marriage of fruit, acid and oak with determine its grace in time.

A delicate, lifted but complex nose shows an incredible display of floral spice with a touch of white stone fruit and orange blossom. Hints of cinnamon and nutmeg follow through with fine French oak perfumes to produce an intricate display of pleasure.
